STARDATE 48281.7

CAPTAIN'S LOG

We are headed to the star system K2S04 in standard practice to explore and chart the system following its discovery by the USS Cairo. However, this mission will differ from the norm in that the system is home to the Aluetian people.
Captain Jellico of the Cairo has already made first contact; the Aleutians primarily live on two planets of the system and have developed faster-than-light travel, though the isolated nature of K2S04 gave them the impression that there was nothing else to find beyond their star.

CAPTAIN'S LOG

After stopping at Iota Piscium, we have brought officers zh'Azonan, Bazzi, and Boaz aboard the ship; I'm sure they will make fine additions to our crew.
Starfleet Command should have our next assignment, so I expect to depart as soon as our new officers get settled in.

STARDATE 47994.6

CAPTAIN'S LOG

I have taken command of the Pathfinder from now-Admiral th'Ethinor. Our mission profile will still be a multi-role explorer primarily creating detailed charts of new star systems discovered by larger, front-line exploritory vessels akin to the Enterprise and Cairo.
Much of the crew has remained aboard, but we will be picking up some new officers before heading on our next mission. I hope to maintain the Pathfinder's legacy as "the ship that always comes home" and to be worthy of her command.

SHIP STATUS

The USS PATHFINDER is now under the command of Damien Armando.

CAPTAIN'S LOG

These last eight years on board the Pathfinder have been quite a treat for an old man such as myself. Such simple missions! Such low stakes! I am pleased to call her my home and to have had the honor of serving her wtih my command. May she sail the stellar gulfs for lifetimes to come and always carry on.

CHEIF ENGINEER'S LOG

The Pathfinder truly is a remarkable ship. We found some anomolous readings in the Tillerman Nebula, which turned out to be a pair of micro-singularites. Between the graviton eddies and the caustic gases of the nebula, it's a miracle that we pulled through, but she's a fast starship, and the shields seem to hold out just a little longer than they should.
This is my first post as Chief Engineer, but I've picked up a few tricks over the years that I hope I can use to bring the Pathfinder up to date with modern starship design. Captain th'Ethinor says it's about time for another refit. The four nacelles are a wonder, but the warp core is in dire need of an upgrade.
